News: Harbury Folk Club and Jerusalem

Updated: 09 February 2012

We are pleased to welcome the Harbury Folk Club to the Loft Theatre on the first and last nights of Jerusalem, when members of the club will be singing live on stage before the performance.

They have also very kindly recorded the Padstow May Day Song especially for the show; Loft sound designer Jason Havard has made the eighteen-strong choir sound like a hundred! But do come and enjoy them live too. It will be a joyful bonus to have them in our theatre, actively sharing Jez Butterworth’s rural play with its strong evocation of the traditional rites of old England. They will be singing on stage from twenty minutes before curtain up, so make sure you arrive early enough to catch them.
