Main house shows
The Loft currently produces nine main
house Shows per season. Each show rehearses for six weeks, four nights
per week, and runs for ten performances. Rehearsals start at 7:30pm
and usually finish by 10:30pm. Nights off are rare but one or two may
be allowed with prior agreement.
In addition, there are up to six studio productions, rehearsing by
arrangement three times per week, with a five night performance run.
Occasionally, short entertainments called Loft Extras are held after
the Friday and Saturday performances of a main house run; rehearsals

Actors are also encouraged to take part in other aspects of the
theatre’s work to provide essential support for other productions.

The theatre is always busy, but there are also occasional planned
social events, which are announced in show programmes and on this
website (see the News page).
The bar is also open from 7pm on performance nights and ‘on
demand’ on non-show nights. The first and last nights of a show
always bring members together for a party atmosphere.
