Raise funds for your charity with a night out at the theatre
Raising money for your charity is easy and effective as well as being
a pleasurable and sociable experience when you do it in conjunction
with the Loft Theatre Company.
How it works
The charity, in consultation with the theatre company, identifies well
in advance a Loft show it wants to use as the fundraising vehicle. It
is usually a show that has not gone on general sale which means the
whole auditorium is free. This is because it is not policy to mix
charity and general audience. This is of advantage to the charity
because as the theatre is exclusively given over to the charity for
the evening it is possible to customise the front of house areas and
promote raffles and other fundraising activities.
A price is agreed which represents a discount on the publicly
advertised prices and all the tickets for that night’s performance
(199) are printed and given to the charity. These tickets can be
customised.
The charity is then free to sell the tickets to supporters and friends
at whatever price it feels it can. Typically it is possible to make
over £1000 profit.
